The under 15 Jimboomba Redbacks girl's side are shaping up as premiership favourites following Sunday's 14 point win against Wilston Grange.
The win sees the Redbacks maintain a 12 point buffer at the top of the ladder with three rounds remaining in the regular season.
Assistant coach Fred Meddings said Wilston Grange were the toughest opposition they had faced this season.
"They stopped our usual run and carry," he said.
"Their tackle count was up from last time we played them. They also flooded our forward line making it hard for us to score."
Meddings said his side's focus on handballs under pressure at training made a difference on the weekend.
"We were able to move the ball out of danger quickly," he said.
"The girls fought hard for the win in excellent conditions for football."
Avalon Pearce, Chelsea Bidgood and Jayla Hargreaves bagged goals.
The Redbacks' win also marked a special occasion for Chelsea Reilly, who played her first game at home since bringing up 100 matches for the club.
Meanwhile, the Jimboomba Redbacks seniors took out their fifth win on the trot against the Western Magpies on home soil.
A strong first quarter from the Redbacks kept the Magpies scoreless but a fightback from the visitors saw the game evenly poised at three-quarter-time.
Luke Geraghty and Bryce Tomlinson stepped up in the final quarter with goals to secure a 13 point victory and second position on the ladder.
The Redbacks enter the final two rounds of the regular season equal on points with the top placed Park Ridge Pirates.
The under 12 Redbacks boy's team also had a big day out against Morningside.
The Redbacks players kicked six goals on their way to a 33 point triumph in front of the Brisbane Lions, who umpired the game just hours after their win at the Gabba.
Coach Michael Young said Lions midfielder Allen Christensen was full of praise for Redbacks man of the match Lawson Muller.
Young said his team showed great discipline throughout the game.
"Training all week was about attacking the ball at speed and keeping it locked in our forward half and the boys executed that really well," Young said.
The under 13 and 14 teams also posted big wins.
The under 13 girl's side ran out 23 point winners against Kedron, while the under 14 boys dominated their clash with Wilston Grange to move into fourth position.
The previously undefeated under 17 girl's team went down by three goals, as did the under 16 boys.
