SCENIC Rim art lovers were able to get a sneak-peak into the upcoming regional arts conference and celebration Arts Ablaze by attending the June Arts Dinner last night at The Centre, Beaudesert.
The evening showcased a preview of the Arts Ablaze program as well as a celebration of the successful Regional Arts Development Fund recipients.
Councillors Nadia O'Carroll and Michael Enright were in attendance at the dinner where successful Regional Arts Development Fund recipients were presented with their certificates and there was an update on the Boonah Vibrant and Active Towns and Villages project.
Diners were given details of public art projects taking place throughout the region and a preview of the Arts Ablaze event to place at Kooralbyn from October 2 to 6.
As Scenic Rim Arts Reference Group chair, Cr O'Carroll said planning for the Arts Ablaze conference and celebration was well underway and everyone at the dinner was looking forward to the event.
Cr O'Carroll said registrations were now open and the full program would be released in July.
"Arts Ablaze, which is being managed by Scenic Rim Regional Council, is an incredibly exciting program for our region," she said.
"The Arts Ablaze team is working with a group of partners to bring together a program and series of arts experiences that focus on solutions for the future of regional arts practice.
"As usual, the Arts Dinner was a wonderful opportunity for members of the arts and cultural sector to interact and share their ideas."
