THE morning commute was a bit foggy today thanks to the weekend rainfall.
Bureau of Meteorology duty forecaster David Crock said the ground moisture after yesterday's rain in combination with clear skies and light winds had made areas within the Scenic Rim quite foggy.
"Fog is when visibility is less than 500 metres and while it was clear in Brisbane the fog stretched from the Lockyer Valley straight out west to Beaudesert and Logan," he said.
Mr Crock said the rain across the Scenic Rim was patchy over the weekend with an average 5-15ml falling across the region.
"Beaudesert had 2ml in the 24 hours to 9am Sunday," he said.
"The rainfall was variable, some did get 15ml but only a few places got more than 10ml."
A police spokeswoman advised motorists to drive with care and remember to use headlights in foggy conditions.
