TWO under 16 Park Ridge Pirate players celebrated their 100th games with the club after defeating Sherwood over the weekend.
Coach Nick Bond congratulated Ethan and Brayden for reaching the milestone.
The Pirates started well with Zac Bond scoring goals from the forward line.
Kaleb Nolan was also dangerous in the forward line in his first game back from injury.
A lack of concentration in the third quarter led to Sherwood scoring some quick goals, but the Pirates recovered to gain the upper hand.
With a significant lead in the final quarter, the Pirates tried some different combinations which the players adjusted to well.
Park Ridge won 89 points to 36 for Sherwood.
Under 14
WET weather featured in the under 14 Park Ridge Pirates' clash against Wilston Grange over the weekend.
The first quarter was a close affair with each team driving into the forward line with little to show for it.
Wilston Grange scored goals in quick succession during the second quarter, which put them in the box seat to win.
The Pirates took a back to basics approach to the third quarter which had both sides on even footing.
Park Ridge outscored Wilston Grange in the final quarter, but it was not enough to claim victory, falling short 27 points to 66.
Under 12
The under 12 Park Ridge Pirates struggled against Redcliffe on Sunday with nine players out of the side.
Eight under 11 players stepped up to help make the game possible.
The first half was difficult for the younger players.
Coach Corey Pitts called on the players to show more effort as the Pirates continued the struggle.
Radcliffe defeated Park Ridge 54 points to seven.
Seniors
THE Park Ridge Pirates and Jimboomba Redbacks settled a local rivalry in a clash over the weekend.
The senior Pirates have been undefeated this season while Jimboomba is second on the ladder losing only to the Pirates once.
Park Ridge had an early upper hand which flowed through the entire game.
Jimboomba did not give up easily and gave the Pirates a run for their money, only losing by 10 points 45-55.
Travis Duff and Josh Greig were standout players.
