MORE than 25,000 voters have already cast their ballots for the ultra marginal seat of Forde as polls open from 8am today.
The seat of Forde is being contested by LNP incumbent Bert van Manen, Labor's Des Hardman, Kirsty Petersen from the Greens, One Nation candidate Ian Bowron, Paul Creighton from united Australia Party and Innes Les from Fraser Anning's Conservative National Party.
Forde is held by a wafer thin margin of 0.6 per cent.
Bookmakers predict a comfortable gain for Labor but seat polling released this week reveals the seat could go down to the wire.
The YouGov Galaxy poll shows the LNP primary vote is up at 42 per cent, Labor 41 per cent, Greens five per cent, One Nation seven per cent and the United Australia Party on four per cent.
This brings the overall two party preferred result to an even 50-50.
According to the Australian Electoral Commission, 24,942 people voted in Forde pre-polling booths up to Thursday.
Election issues include Logan Hospital funding, the need to upgrade the Mount Lindesay Highway, infrastructure and education.
