EIGHT recruits are set to begin their careers with Queensland Police Service in the Logan policing district.
The first-year constables will be deployed to stations at Crestmead, Browns Plains, Springwood and Beaudesert, with two constables each set for Logan Central and Beenleigh.
The officers were inducted into the service this week as part of a 75-strong cohort destined to serve across Queensland.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said the recruits had completed 25 weeks of intensive training to prepare them for their roles.
Eight officers will be based at the Gold Coast, ten in the North Brisbane district and seven in South Brisbane district.
Queensland's southern and central regions will get about 20 recruits each, with one also to be deployed to the Mount Isa policing district in the northern region.
Queensland Police Commissioner Ian Stewart told recruits at the induction ceremony at Oxley's QPS academy that a career in policing was like no other.
"The role of a police officer is like no other," he said.
"(You are) responsible for the safety and security of Queensland.
"There is no doubt each of these new officers will experience some challenging situations, however, there will also be many rewarding and humbling times."
Police Minister Mark Ryan said the first-year constables would breath life into the service with their experiences and enthusiasm.
"On behalf of the Queensland Government, I am grateful to the 75 first-year constables who have accepted this responsibility today," he said.
"Each has sworn they will maintain integrity, professionalism and accountability when serving and protecting the people of Queensland.
"They will help to create a safe environment for residents and visitors, working in partnership with their communities and other government agencies around Queensland."
