A GLENEAGLE girl has confronted her fears and qualified for state level gymnastics.
Lilli-Belle Elford, 11, started gymnastics four years ago but took two years off from the sport after falling off the bars and breaking her arm twice six months.
The Beaudesert State High School student returned to gymnastics in August last year and trains 12 hours a week at Moreton Bay College's Premier Gymnastics.
Coaching has helped Elford overcome her fear of the bars and perform at an elite level.
Elford competed at the Australian Gymnastics and Dance Academy competition in level four gymnastics at Deception Bay on Sunday, May 12.
She scored 9.066 on uneven bars to secure second place and qualify for state championships.
State Championships will be held at Brisbane in September.
