EMMAUS College's year eight students were enriched with a Japanese Cultural Day to mark the beginning of May.
The cultural day came after students spent time studying various aspects of Japanese culture in their school subjects.
To conclude the teaching unit, students were introduced to a hands on experience including a number of practical workshops.
Students took part in Taiko drumming, martial arts, Japanese cooking, anime and mange drawing, a tea ceremony and an author presentation featuring Simmon Higgins.
Meanwhile, the school welcomed the community to take part in an open day on Wednesday, May 8.
