A LOGAN RESERVE man was beaten up, threatened with a gun and blindfolded with a towel as thieves ransacked his home on Sunday night.
The 24-year-old man searched his Lake Amaroo Court backyard at 11pm to investigate a noise disturbance when he was confronted by a group of men dressed in black carrying baseball bats and weapons.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said police were investigating the incident.
"The man was punched and kicked before being forced back inside the residence where he was threatened with a firearm," the spokesperson said.
"The group then blindfolded the victim with a towel while they ransacked the home and took a sum of money as well as personal items, before fleeing.
"The man managed to seek assistance from neighbours who notified police."
The victim was treated for multiple injuries including bruising and suspected fractures at Logan Hospital.
