BEAUDESERT photographers have been invited to join the local camera club to help bolster membership numbers.
Beaudesert Camera Club media spokeswoman Sue Rodwell said the club was a small, friendly group of like-minded people who enjoyed taking photographs and aspired to improve their photography.
"The club meets each month with either a guest speaker or photo critique where club members have the chance to enter their photos for judging by accredited judges," Ms Rodwell said.
"The main critique is based on digital images and the club also has an enlargement category, where prints are judged four times a year."
Ms Rodwell said the images were judged in different categories, which avoided favouring any one particular theme or subject.
"This also encourages members to venture outside their comfort zones and try new topics," she said.
"We regularly organise photographic outings and workshops that allow members to learn and improve their photographic skills."

Ms Rodwell said membership was open to photographers of all levels of ability and with all types of cameras.
She said the next meeting would be held April 30 at the Community Arts and Information Centre on Enterprise Drive from 7pm.
"Our guest speaker will be Johnny Estbergs who will be talking about his life as a renowned photographer, but most importantly about his history and passion for bird photography," Ms Rodwell said.
"For the following meeting on May 28 members are tasked with submitting photos with architecture as the set subject."
