A SECURITY guard and an orderly were allegedly stabbed at Logan Hospital on Saturday morning.
Police charged a 23-year-old male patient from Buccan alleged to have assaulted a security guard at 5.20am.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said staff attempted to restrain the man when he allegedly used a small knife to wound another security guard and an orderly.
The male victims, aged 21 and 51, suffered stab wounds to their knees.
The 23-year-old Buccan man was charged with three counts of common assault and two counts of wounding.
He is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
Axe assault
TWO Logan residents have been charged following an alleged incident which lest a man suffering serious injuries at Marsden in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said a 23-year-old man was with a group in the car park of a fast food restaurant on Chambers Flat Road at 1.45am before a verbal argument broke out with a second group.
"When the man attempted to leave with the group it will be alleged he was struck in the back of the head by a member of the other group with what is believed to be an axe," the spokesperson said.
"As a result of the attack the man sustained two large lacerations to the head causing him to fall onto the ground."
The victim was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
An 18-year-old Beenleigh man was charged with common assault and affray. He is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on April 24.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old Bethania woman was charged with grievous bodily harm and affray.
She is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 1.
