The Jimboomba State School P&C has one goal - to make its school great!
And along with principal Tim Farrell, the group of paid employees and volunteers all work closely together to try and achieve this.
According to fundraising co-ordinator Janet Smith, the community spirit in Jimboomba is amazing.
"It is a close community and even with the population growing so much over the past five years, everyone is very supportive of what the Jimboomba State School P&C are trying to achieve," Janet said.
"The P&C is special because it is a large group of people paid and unpaid all trying to achieve the best for our students, school and community. There is a real sense of family within the P&C and everyone is there to lend a hand."
The volunteer positions are four executive members followed by 10 - 12 active members.
The departments within the P&C are executive members, administration roles, Jimboomba Outside School Hours Care, Jimboomba Stingrays Swim club, the uniform shop, The Lunch Shack tuckshop and fundraising volunteers.
"We are always in need of parents and family members to join the team to help take us on our next great adventure. Lots of what we do is planning, but planning for fun!" said Janet.
If ever there is a place to make a real difference at your child's school and have a real input into change, then Janet believes the P&C is the place to be.
The P&C organises everything from the Bush Fete, trivia nights, discos, fun runs, pie drives and more.
"Our Bush Fete started last year, which was the first one in over 20 years, with a roaring success," said Janet. "We are hoping this year's fete will be as great if not better with new displays and attractions."
