The pre-season derby between the Beaudesert Kingfishers and the Jimboomba Thunder is returning to Willis Park today.
After a two-year hiatus the Queensland Country Credit Union Cup is back and the charity event promises to be bigger than ever as both clubs unite behind injured Jimboomba Masters player and all-round good guy Clayton Dodd.
Attendees are being asked to donate a gold coin at the gate, with the funds to go to Dodd, who suffered a serious spinal injury while donning the Thunder jersey at the annual masters tournament held at Runaway Bay recently.

Beaudesert Kingfishers president Matt Haack said the rugby league community was well-known for taking care of its own and he encouraged everyone to come down and support a worthy cause.
"Scenic Rim Regional Council are getting behind it," he said.
"It is a huge program and there will be live music after the games."
"It should be a massive day."
Jimboomba Thunder spokesperson Trent Barnes said Dodd and his family were facing dire circumstances and both clubs were determined to ensure they were not left behind once the dust settled.
He said Dodd was a tremendous person and clubman and he urged the entire community to come down and dig deep.
"It's a community event, so bring the whole family down."
He said current cup-holders the Thunder shared a fierce but friendly rivalry with the Kingfishers and Saturday's matches would be brutally contested.
"We love our brothers and sisters from down the road but they are down the road," he said.
The festival of rugby league will feature 23 games with the juniors kicking off from 9.30am.
In all but two of those games the Kingfishers and Thunder will clash, as the neighbouring clubs compete for ultimate supremacy and bragging rights.
No one team will decide which club takes home the Queensland Country Credit Union Cup.
The triumphant victor will be the club displaying the most depth as every result across the day will count towards the overall outcome.
Kicking off at 4.40pm the open women will bring the cup to its conclusion.
The open men will follow from 5.50pm but the Kingfishers will face Mustangs Brothers in a non-cup clash.
The seniors enter round one on March 29, while the juniors commence grading on March 23, with the season getting underway on April 27.
Barnes said it was not too late to join either club and anyone interested could attend on Saturday or phone him on 0438 956 555.
