The Logan Village RSL Sub Branch continues to go from strength-to-strength.
President Collin Evans said this year had been particularly active thus far, with many ex-service personnel from within the community becoming members and the committee canvassing options for new services from both the RSL South East Queensland and broader community.
"We are continually trying to improve our facilities and services within the limited confines of our structure, but we know that you the community are the ones that are there to help and assist when the need arises.
"We are all part of one great community that continues to grow."
Mr Evans said there were many services the RSL would like to provide like mental health services, a welfare vehicle and pension information, and the committee had also been looking into accessing grants to make these programs a reality.
He said it had been extremely pleasing to see the local community supporting the RSL sub branch's many scheduled ceremonies and events.
"The Remembrance Day service was second to none and our thanks must go to sub branch member John Leggatt and the Logan Village Historical Museum for their effort in presenting a remarkable event," he said.
"It will be remembered for years to come."
She said the Logan Village Sub Branch presented Armistace Medallions to local business and community groups that have assisted our Sub Branch over many years.
"To the recipients our sincere thanks for the support given by your organisation time and time again," he said.
"Your efforts are very much appreciated," he said.
