AN ELDERLY Crestmead couple were threatened with a knife in their home on Wednesday afternoon.
Police are investigating after two young men forced entry through a Coffey Street garage door at 1.45pm.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said the young duo stole a Holden Captiva and intimidated the residents with a knife and chisel.
"They crashed the car into a tree a short time later on Hakari Street and fled the scene on foot," the spokesperson said.
The men are described as in their late teens or early twenties.
One is about 170cm tall with a solid build and brown hair and the other is 183cm tall with a thin build.
The victims were not physically injured from the incident.
