POLICE are investigating the armed robbery of the Regents Park Foodworks grocery store at Emerald Drive on Friday night.
This comes less than two weeks after an Emerald Drive shop owner chased away an armed man with a handgun who attempted to rob a 31-year-old woman's handbag on February 27.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said a man wielding a knife entered the Emerald Drive shop at 7.30pm and demanded a 54-year-old male attendant lie on the ground.
"The man then jumped the counter and removed money from the cash register and took goods," the spokesperson said.
"He ran from the scene, across Emerald Park and into Emerald Park bushland."
The man is described as 160-170cm tall, wearing a black hoodie and black jeans.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Police are investigating the matter.
