A LOGAN Village performance troupe will put on their first big show after forming last year.
The Village Green Theatre Group, which meets at the Old School House, is rehearsing 1980’s classic Stepping Out.
Group president Sandra Koehler said the production, written by Richard Harris, was sure to entertain.

The play tells the story of a group of mismatched beginner dancers, who develop into a proud amateur tap class.
“This is a warm and funny play which is an endearing tale of ... friendship, camaraderie and sheer determination,” she said.
Stepping Out will be performed at Logan Village Lions Community Hall on Saturday, March 23 from 2pm and on Saturday, March 30 from 7.30pm.
Tickets are $17.50 per person or $15 for concession and can be bought online here or by ringing Ms Koehler on 0438 815 431.
Ms Koeler said Stepping Out was the Village Green Theatre Group’s first big production.
Last year, the group put on three one-act plays after forming in February to help aspiring thespians further develop their talents.
“We also held a series of workshops on improvisation and had guest speakers attend our monthly meetings to teach mini-workshops on acting techniques, speech production and audition preparation,” Ms Koeler said.
“Village Green Theatre Group is establishing an identity in the local area with a goal to produce quality, affordable plays and develop the arts in Logan Village and surrounds …”.
The group meet for monthly meetings on the first Thursday of every month from 7pm at the Old School House, Wharf Street.
