Jimboomba Little Athletics struck gold, silver and bronze at the annual State Track and Field Relay Championships.
The 40-strong contingent matched it with the best the state has to offer at Nathan’s Queensland Sport and Athletics, with three teams making it onto the podium.
Leading the way were the pairing of Sam Windsor and Connor Addley who heaved their way to gold in the under-16 discus and narrowly missed a medal in shot put, placing fourth.
On the track, the club’s under-10 years boys sprinted to silver in the 4x200 metres.
The outfit featuring Izac Addley, Noah Liese, Daniel McKinnon and Orlando Pharaoh also backed up to take sixth in the 4x100m.
Addley and Pharaoh then went on to finish fourth in high jump.
The club’s girls wouldn’t be outdone, with Erin Gallagher and Ashleigh Storrs powering to bronze in the under-14 shot put.
Special mention must also go to competitors who placed just outside the medals in fourth, including Ayshia Noy, Annie Newman, Erin Gallagher and Georgia Grimsey (under-14 distance medley relay), and Gallagher and Taylah Lens (under-15 discus).
It was a busy day for Gallagher who also partnered with Abbey Howden and came fourth in the under-16 shotput.
Little Athletics is now breaking for the holiday period.
Club nights wills resume on January 11.
