LOGAN West Community Centre was transformed into a massive Christmas Party for the final Browns Plains Blue Light Disco for the year.
About 400 kids attended. Santa dropped in for a visit, joined by an enthusiastic elf.
Senior Sergeant Michael Leafe said some 40 giant Christmas hampers, 60 Lions Christmas cakes and 60 ham legs were given away to some families.
“At Browns Plains Police Blue Light Disco we are very lucky to have a huge family of civilian and police volunteers who give their time over and over again to make each disco special,” he said.
“We are also very lucky to have considerable community support, and a big special thanks for our Christmas Discos goes out to Coles Distribution Centre, Heathwood and Councillor Laurie Smith, Division 8, Logan City Council, for their considerable support with the hampers and Lion’s Christmas cakes.”
Senior Sergeant Leafe said Browns Plains Police Blue Light Disco Association wanted to thank the community for its support over the past 12 months and looked forward to an even bigger 2019.
The first disco for 2019 will be on Friday February 1.
