Rods Inc is looking for talented rock musicians to entertain one night a month at the Loganholme clubhouse.
Secretary Kerry Moreton said the monthly events would offer community members a chance to enjoy an inexpensive night of live music, while giving amateur musicians an opportunity to gain experience playing in front of an audience.
She said monthly dance classes held this year had proven so popular that the club had decided to continue them in 2019 and to invite emerging artists to join in as well.
“There is a lot of talented musicians who are very good at what they do but have never had a chance to play in front of anybody,” she said.
“We wanted to offer families a cheap, fun night out of the house and we thought there would be some local musicians who would love to practise in front of an audience.”
Ms Moreton said the club was seeking musicians who played rock’n’roll or country rock and the monthly jam sessions would be held free of charge with attendees asked to contribute a plate of food to share for dinner.
She said drinks would be available for purchase from the bar and family and friends welcomed.
