ORMEAU’S Deslie Taylor has won the Women in Finance Broker of the Year award for the second year running.
The Mortgage and Finance Broker of the Year award recognises the professional who best represents the industry across key factors, including but not limited to, business growth, quality of loan submissions and exceptional customer service.
Mortgage Choice chief executive Susan Mitchell said it was a tremendous accomplishment for Ms Taylor.
“Deslie is acutely aware of the need to nurture relationships and she displays an unwavering focus on the needs of her customers,” Ms Mitchell said.
“She understands the value of running an efficient business which sees her small team writing large volumes to successfully grow her business year on year.
“Deslie’s work ethic is exceptional and she is driven by a genuine desire to help Australians live a financially full life, whether it be guiding them through financial advice or helping them fulfil their home ownership dreams.”
Ms Taylor was honoured to be recognised again.
“I could not have anticipated another win but it means so much, and I hope to inspire other women who are either in financial services or hoping to join that they too can achieve success in their career and families,” she said.
Ms Taylor said her greatest accomplishment had been to balance family life and grow her business.
“I learnt early on to forge my own path and benchmark my success against my own standards. It was this confidence that enabled me to meet the challenges required to grow my business,” she said.
“The greatest validation of the job for me is when a happy customer refers a friend or family member and trusts me to look after them by providing them with the right financial products for their needs.
“Of course, this would not be possible without the incredible support of my team who inspire and support me.
“Looking ahead, I hope to continue to deliver exceptional customer service and inspire other women in the industry to excel.”
Earlier this year, Ms Taylor was named the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia Residential Finance Broker of the Year for Queensland.
