The Senior Jimboomba Bushrangers defeated Logan Village Gold on their home ground with four overs to spare over the weekend.
Opening bowlers Braeden Losa and Ryan Galea went on the attack after Jimboomba lost the toss.
The first wicket fell on the 14th over when Ben Holley (3-45) was brought into the attack with Logan Village securing an opening partnership of 62.
Haydn Teese was the next to strike with the ball and finished the game with his first five wicket haul.
Lewis Hinds (1-14) and Phil Walsh (1-25) also took wickets with Logan Village all out for 222.
Jimboomba’s opening batsmen Shannon White and Rodney Teese built up a 38-run partnership until White was bowled LBW for 12. Teese scored freely to reach his half-century on the 16th over.
At drinks, the score was 6-145 when Teese was joined by his father Haydn.
The father-son 78-run partnership secured victory for Jimboomba with Haydn scoring an unbeaten 21 and Rodney scoring 121 not out.
Division three
THERE was no home ground advantage for Jimboomba Green and Jimboomba Gold as the two teams clashed on the weekend.
Jimboomba Gold bowled first looking to put pressure on their opposition from the first ball. The strategy worked with Jimboomba Green restricted to 8/42 off 20 overs.
Riley Benstead (3-9) proved dangerous without conceding many runs with Owen Maguire (3-2) and Aiden Kemp (2-3) just as formidable. Kemp also achieved a double wicket maiden over.
Bowlers Hayden Carthouser and Corey Young were also economical with (0-1). Jimboomba Gold dominated with the bat with an impressive 4-139 off 30 overs.
Kemp (42) top scored with Maguire (29) and Carthouser (19) also performing well.
