HILLS College performers have completed costume rehearsals in anticipation of their Doctor Seuss themed school musical opening night at Jimboomba JC Family Church on Friday.
The show marks Hill College’s first school musical, which has gone ahead after vital funding support from the school’s Parents and Friends Association.
There will be 44 primary and five secondary school students performing at the opening show from 7pm on Friday, October 26 followed by a matinee at 4pm, Saturday, October 27 and the closing ceremony at 7pm.
Hills College primary school musical specialist Andrea Hasler said the audience was in for a treat over the next two days.
“The parents can expect a little bit of laughter and fun. It is a very serious story,” she said.
“We have about 50 kids who have never done this before. To get them onto the stage is huge and they are doing really well.
“We wouldn’t have been able to do it without support from the Parents and Friends association. There has been a huge investment from them and the kids.”
The students have been preparing for the school musical since term two.
Time is running out to secure a ticket with the deadline closing at 4pm today.
