A TEENAGE boy has been charged after a 12-year-old girl was stabbed in the face at least 20 times at Kingston on Thursday morning.
The victim was walking on a pathway under the Logan Motorway at about 7.40am on October 18, when police allege she was brutally attacked.
Detective Acting Inspector Grant Ralston said a cutting instrument, like a box cutter was most likely used to cause serious injuries to the right side of the girl’s face in a period of 10 to 15 seconds.
The girl fought the man off and ran to her school while bleeding before being rushed to Queensland Children’s Hospital.
She is in a stable condition.
The 17-year-old boy has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
