JIMBOOMBA decathlete Ashley Moloney is Logan’s Sportsperson of the Year.
Moloney, 18, won gold at the 2018 World Under 20 Decathlon Championships in Finland in July.
Moloney joins a field of former winners who include 100m runner Trae ‘Quadzilla’ Williams, former Broncos skipper Corey Parker and Australian rugby international Israel Folau.
Moloney also won Young Sportsman of the Year.
Logan recognised the cream of its current crop of athletes at Logan Metro Sports Centre tonight, Saturday, October 13. Guests included boxing champion Danny Green and Roar coach John Aloisi.

Tara Billington won the young sportswoman award. Billington, 15, is a champion the Korean sword sport Haidong Gumdo. She won four golds at the recent New Zealand championships and two gold and four silver at Mulympia, the martial arts Olympics.
Beaudesert-born boxer Clay Waterman won sportsman of the year. Waterman won bronze at the Commonwealth Games.
Jimboomba Supercross won best event.
