QUEENSLAND Rocketry Society has postponed its Sunday, October 14 event Flames, Smoke & Noise at Cedar Grove until Sunday, October 28.
QRS secretary Blake Nikolic said QRS had followed the weather all week with an eye on the pattern of late afternoon showers.
“If things had stayed that way, we would have been right,” he said.
“Unfortunately there has been a change with 20mm of rain is predicted over the course of the event.”
Mr Nikolic said all who held tickets to would be granted entry to the October 28 event.
Flames, Smoke and Noise will launch rockets large and small high into the sky, some reaching speeds of 1000 kms per hour.
