JAPANESE footballer Yuki Nagasato has signed with Roar for the Westfield W-League.
Nagasato, a World Cup winner with 132 national team caps to her name, joins BRFC on loan from NWSL outfit Chicago Red Stars.
The lethal striker has netted 175 goals during her career.
Head coach Mel Andreatta said Nagasato had achieved much in her football career.
“I’m sure our supporters are as excited as we are to see her in Orange for season 11,” she said.
"On behalf of BRFC, I'd like to welcome Yuki to the Roar family.”
Nagasato is a twice Frauen Bundesliga, one-time UEFA Women’s Champions League, champion with FFC Turbine Potsdam and Bundesliga’s top scorer of 2013.
She became a World Champion with Japan at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup. She represented her country at the 2012 Summer Olympics and left with silver.
Nagasato joins a team that also boasts Clare Polkinghorne as captain and Orlando Pride duo Carson Pickett and Chioma Ubagagu.
The Roar Women begin their Westfield W-League campaign on Sunday, October 28 at Suncorp Stadium against Perth Glory. Kick off is 1.30pm.
