HUNDREDS of Jimboomba Redback supporters, members and volunteers celebrated a year of success at the club’s presentation day at Henderson Park on Saturday.
Club president Tom Vidoni said membership growth, improved performance and a successful cancer fundraiser were among the 2018 highlights.
“The club went from five teams in 2017 to 13 teams this year and we are expected to grow to 16 teams next year,” he said.
“All of our youth teams made it to finals football, which is not bad for Jimboomba. Our Masters only lost one game out of 12.”
The Redback under 12 team made the grand final game against Narangba, but fell short 7-35.
Life membership was awarded to David Balmforth for promoting women’s football and Joshua Graham was awarded Clubman of the Year after 19 years of service to the club.
