POLICE have charged a teenager for allegedly stealing a car in Marsden while an eight-month old baby was inside.
The incident occurred on Saturday, September 8 at 4.50 pm on Prestige Drive shortly after the owner of the vehicle parked the car, according to police.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said the baby was reunited with his parents after someone reported seeing the baby inside his baby seat on Gilmore Road.
The baby was unharmed.
Police arrested a 15-year-old Fortitude Valley boy, charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, one count of endangering a child by exposure, four counts of stealing, one count of fraud and one count of unlicensed driving.
The boy will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
