Chief entrepreneur Steve Baxter opens INNOV8 Logan

QUEENSLAND chief entrepreneur and Shark Tank judge Steve Baxter will officially open INNOV8 Logan at the Kingston Butter Factory on Friday, September 14.

Innov8 Logan brings together the city’s brightest creators to develop the city’s digital future.

It formalises the Logan Entrepreneurs Group, a collection of representatives from local start-ups, social enterprises, businesses and entrepreneurs, along with Griffith University, Logan City Council and the Queensland Government.

Ideas that evolved from Logan include the PowerWells initiative that began at Kingston’s Substation 33.

PowerWells have worked in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea installing solar-powered energy ‘wells’ for charging electronic equipment that are made from recycled material.
