TAILS were wagging as dog lovers entered their pets into a boot camp at Greenbank Shopping Centre on Saturday morning.
More than $300 was raised at the RSPCA charity event. Some 25 people and their dogs joined the fun from 7am.
American staffies, labradors, poodles, chihuahuas and more were among the four-legged friends glowing with excitement.
Lilly Avalon and Darren Pennisi hosted the event which raffled prizes including dog hampers and meat trays donated by local businesses.
Ms Avalon said animal welfare was close to her heart, having adopted a rescued dog eight years ago.
“He is a beautiful friendly creature. We encourage people to adopt rather than buy from breeders,” she said.
Ms Avalon said she hoped to hold similar boot camp charity events every six months.
