QUEENSLAND’S peak motoring body the RACQ will close its Browns Plains shopfront on September 14.
An RACQ spokesperson said members who visited the Browns Plains store had been notified about the closure.
“Over recent years we’ve seen our members embrace our digital channel and this has resulted in a decrease in the number of face-to-face engagements in some of our stores,” said RACQ financial services principal media advisor Kirsty Clinton.
“The RACQ remains committed to a strong, sustainable retail footprint throughout Queensland. We will continue to review and position our retail stores in convenient locations for our members across our regions.
“Members who visited our Browns Plains store have been contacted and notified about the closest RACQ stores. However, if more convenient, our Queensland-based call centre is available 24/7.”
Ms Clinton said the most convenient stores for members in and around Browns Plains are at Eight Mile Plains at 2649 Logan Road and Inala at Inala Plaza, Inala Avenue.
