THE senior and under 12 Jimboomba Redbacks will contest the next round of finals as the AFL season heats up.
This comes as the seniors fought a tough game against Zillmere on Friday, August 17, winning with an eight point margin 77 to 69.
The under 12 Redbacks also convincingly defeated Wilston Grange 30 to 12.
On Saturday, August 18, the Redback Masters returned to winning form against Springwood with a whopping winning margin 107 to 14.
The Jimboomba Redbacks were unlucky on Sunday, August 19 with the under 14s, under 15 girls and under 17 girls falling short of victory.
Narangba defeated Jimboomba/Greater Springfield 53 to 43.
The under 15 Jimboomba girls were decisively beaten by Aspley seven points to 45.
Coorparoo won against the under 17 Jimboomba/Beenleigh girls 35 to 14.
The Jimboomba Redbacks have had a successful 2018 season with Owen Maguire, Ashleigh Hodges, Teagan Dare, Josii Hargreaves and Tayha Hutchinson finishing in the top four of their age divisions for the Best and Fairest vote count.
The five players will attend the McDonalds AFL Queensland Brisbane Juniors Gala Awards to celebrate their achievements.
Hodges and Hutchinson were also selected for the under 14 and under 17 Gold Coast Sunset teams.
The Sunset teams will compete against the Sunshine Coast Storm, Brisbane North Brumbies and Brisbane South Vixens at State Championships in September.
