LOGAN Village will attempt to beat a Guinness world record for largest gathering of fairies in a single place. The UK held the record for almost five years before New Zealand snaffled it on April 15, with a gathering of 928 fairies.
Veronica Heil gathered about 1000 fairies for a market last year and thought she could do better.
She invites one and all to join the world record attempt at the Fortune Telling Gypsy Markets at Logan Village RSL, Quinzeh Creek Road on Saturday, August 25 from noon to 5.30pm.
“Wands, tutus and the ability to stay in full fairy costume for five minutes is all that is required. All are welcome – young, old, children, boys, girls. Bring your friends,” Ms Heil said.
Markets, food and stalls featuring the region’s psychics, healers, tarot and aura readers and more start at noon. The Guinness count begins at 3pm so partipants need to arrive early.
“This is a whimsical event designed to draw the community together in a playful, non-judgemental way. We’ll spread glitter and rainbow vibes through the front yard of the Logan Village RSL,” she said.
