THE Logan Chamber of Commerce has been returned during an annual general meeting in a vote completed without challenge in under 19 minutes.
Natasha Hobson returns as president, Jim Bills as vice president, Pat Robards as treasurer, Stewart Fleming as secretary and James Holley, James Stokes, Brendon Wong, Tim Stokes, Jackie Thompson and Lee McKenzie McKinnon to committee positions.
The meeting was held at Fitzy’s Loganholme on Wednesday, August 8 ahead of a luncheon attended by about 80 people.
Chamber secretary Mr Fleming said guests included acting mayor Cherie Dalley, councillors Russell Lutton, Steve Swenson, Laurie Smith, Laurie Koranski, Jon Raven, Darren Power, Lisa Bradley and heads of the Logan Country and Beenleigh-Yatala Combined chambers.
Mr Fleming said the presence of Logan and Country and Beenleigh-Yatala groups was significant with more joint events to come following the success of the recent Logan Business Distinction Awards, which for the first time was organised by combined groups at Logan Entertainment Centre.
These would include Logan Business Expo at Logan Metro Sports Centre, Browns Plains on November 2.
Terry Morris from Sirromet Wines was the guest speaker at the luncheon.
