Logan mayor Luke Smith has reportedly been arrested by Queensland police.
SUSPENDED Logan mayor Luke Smith has been charged with assault.
Queensland police took Smith, 48, into custody on Friday following reports of a disturbance at a home in Meadowbrook.
Smith has been charged with assault, obstruct police and wilful damage.
He appears in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday.
Smith was suspended after he was charged with by the Queensalnd Crime and Corruption Commission for corruption and perjury.
He has vowed he will defend the charges.
