TRANSURBAN Queensland and Logan Enhancement Project contractors CPB counsel patience and warn commuters to plan ahead as work ploughs ahead on the $512 million suit of projects designed to ease congestion and improve safety.
A TQ spokeswoman said works launched this week at Stretton and Parkinson with more to come through July and August on the Logan and Gateway motorways. Most are expected to continue well into 2019.
The spokeswoman said Mount Lindesay works included traffic switches from old to new southbound overpass at Beaudesert Road over the Logan Motorway at the end of the month, demolition of the old overpass and start of work on a new northbound overpass.
The spokeswoman said, when complete, the works would ease congestion and improve safety all the way through to Jimboomba and Beaudesert.
Logan Enhancement Project upgrades parts of the Logan and Gateway motorways, improving key congestion hot spots on the Logan Motorway, Mt Lindesay Highway, Beaudesert Road interchange and the Wembley Road and Logan Motorway interchanges.
A spokesman said scheduled works would be posted to the Logan Enhancement Project road users page and on the Queensland Traffic website or provided via a 131940 call centre.
