THOUSANDS turned out for Rockin’ Jimmy’s Car Show at the Jimboomba Anglican Church.
An all-ages crowd of car owners, lovers, their families and friends turned out to see the vintage, classic and muscle cars that registered for Father Dan Talbot’s five-year-old charity fundraiser.
The fun started early with a cotillion from Jimboomba’s Heritage Car Club rolling through the gates at about 6.30am.
Suits were sharp and skirts twirled as local rock’n’roll dance clubs hit the black and white dancefloor to twist and jive to tunes performed by rockabilly favourites Little Stevie and the Tailfins just before 10am.
Those who took to the catwalk for a rockabilly fashion parade –Rockin’ Jimmy’s equivilant of fashions in the field – included Kitty Sapphire, a former National Pin-up Australia model and her husband Dan Owttrim, who live nearby.
Here’s just a few of our snaps from the fun.
