SPEEDING: Police fined a 20-year-old Regents park man more than $1200 after he was caught speeding 40km/h over the limit.
A 20-year-old Regents Park man was fined $1218 and lost eight points from his licence after police caught him driving more than 40km/h over the speed limit.
Senior Sergeant Peter Waugh said the man was driving at 106km/h in a 60km/h zone on Carter Road, Mundoolun on July 1, about 2pm.
“Despite the penalty people continue to put themselves and the lives of others at risk,” he said.
There is no excuse, to be travelling 106km/h in a 60 zone is disgraceful.”
