THE Industrial Court of Queensland has upheld an appeal to bar dumped Logan chief executive Sharon Kelsey’s return to work while she waits for her case for reinstatement to go to a full hearing.
It also ruled against wage maintenance for Ms Kelsey.
Decisions were delivered on the appeal and an interim matter before the Industrial Court today. The appeal was filed by councillor Cherie Dalley, now the acting mayor, and others.
Ms Kelsey said she would fight on for reinstatement and now looked forward to a full hearing of the matter scheduled from the end of July through early to mid August. A decision is not expected before December.
“I retain full faith in the legal system,” she said.
