A WOMAN has been charged after allegedly riding her horse drunk through a pub drive-through at Logan Central.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said the 51-year-old was arrested about 11.30pm on Monday, June 4 after she refused to leave a Wembley Road tavern.
The spokesperson said the woman appeared heavily intoxicated at the time and was later recorded with a blood alcohol reading four times the legal limit.
“The female was arrested and transported to Logan Central police station, where she ... provided a positive BAC of 0.226 per cent,” the spokesperson said.
“Police want to remind the public that drink driving does not just mean a vehicle, it can include a horse.”
The woman was charged with being in charge of a horse while under the influence of liquor.
The spokesperson said the horse was walked to the Logan Central police station before it was taken to a Marsden address by council workers.
The woman is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on June 26.
