TEENS from Jimboomba, Beaudesert and surrounds were among the 70-plus kids who headed to Camp Bornhoffen, Natural Bridge, for a Rotary youth leadership camp on the weekend.
Rotary Youth Program Enrichment camp attendees were selected by the 52 clubs that make up Rotary District 9640 and hailed from as afield as Warwick, Stanthorpe, Ballina, Lismore, Grafton and the Gold Coast.
Camp leaders who donned purple shirts included Kathy Smith, of Jimboomba, snapped here photo bombing an official photo shoot.
The Rotary Beaudesert RYPEN chair has worked on the camps in a leadership capacity for the past three years.
Ms Smith said the camps taught young participants valuable skills they would take with them through life.
“We had an awesome bunch of kids this year and they had a lot of fun,” Ms Smith said.
“So many have posted their thanks and said they’d wished it hadn’t had to end.”
