NO one enjoys a cuppa more than nana and Logan Village retirees turned out out in force to mark Australia’s Greatest Morning Tea at Opal Gardens Retirement Village.
Australia’s Greatest Morning Tea, the largest most successful event of its type in Australia, turned 25 this year.
Communities across the nation host morning teas, inviting friends and colleagues for tea and treats to raise cash for people affected by cancer.
Donations help the Council Council achieve it’s mission of a cancer free future.
Last year, the event raised $11.9 million Australia-wide with the proceeds ploughed back into cancer research, support services, prevention programs and advocacy.
The Logan Village event was attended by about 125 nannas, grandpas, their children and grandchildren, village staff, singer Gabrielle Benchetrit, and area councillor Laurie Koranski on Wednesday, May 23..
About a third of attendees signed on to join the 2018 Jimboomba Relay for Life. The team has a fundraising goal of $10,000.
