LOGAN Village Green has welcomed a new arrival.
The hut was relocated from Logan Village Pony Club where it was used as a storeage building. It makes its new home behind Col Ferguson cottage.
Museum curator Coralyn Cowin said the building, a former railway cottage, would have a new life as a photo gallery showcasing a collection of railway and transport photographs.
Councillor Laurie Koranski contributed divisional funding to relocate the cottage to its new site.
“Reinstating the history and heritage of our area is incredibly important,” Cr Koranski said.
“We are lucky to have a committed group of volunteers passionate about keeping our local history alive.
“People who attended the recent Logan Village Summit highlighted the importance of celebrating our rich and unique history and I am proud to have helped bring this little gem to the Green,” she said.
The hut needs some restoration work before it opens to the public. Museum volunteers spent a weekend moving a tractor to make room.
