THERE have been 10 cases of vandalism directed at Yarrabilba homes under construction this week.
Jimboomba Police Station Acting Sergeant Ben Vaughn said vandals were causing serious damage in several areas across the suburb.
“People have been setting fire to objects in the middle of streets, knocking over mailboxes and breaking into construction homes and lighting fires in sinks,” he said.
“It appears some house slabs will need to be ripped up and fully replaced costing thousands of dollars over the last week.
“We do not know who it is but there has been a pattern of this crime over a period of months.”
This comes after Jimboomba Police investigations into vandals who entered a Paradise Street construction home and sprayed crude images in March.
Acting Sergeant Vaughn said vandalism prone areas included Granite Street, Sandstone Ridge estate, Mica Street and Slate Street.
