QUEENSLAND Day is coming to Logan with a family friendly sports day next month.
Access Community Services has invited the community to celebrate Queensland’s culture, heritage, people and industry at Gould Adams Park on June 8 from 3pm to 5pm.
The event is expected to bring together a broad cross section of the community to celebrate 217 cultural groups which make up Logan City.
Entrance is free and will include a free sausage sizzle and birthday cake.
There will be a kids’ play area, bubble soccer and face painting available.
Sports including Rugby, soccer, volleyball, netball, sack racing and egg and spoon racing will also be in full swing.
Queensland’s official birthday is on June 6, marking 159 years since the state was formed as a separate colony.
