TWO masked men armed with a machete, tomahawk and hammer terrorised a Logan Reserve household last night.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said the two men entered a Sidney Court home through the unlocked front door at 9.45pm.
“Once inside the men forcibly moved the occupants who were a 46-year-old woman, 23-year-old man, a 19-year-old man and two 18-year-old men to the lounge room where demands for property were made,” the spokesperson said.
The five residents were assaulted and suffered minor injuries.
The assailants fled with money, jewellery, mobile phones and car keys.
They drove away in one of the resident’s silver 2007 Toyota Corolla sedan.
This comes after a 44-year-old man was charged for the alleged assault of a 64-year-old man at Beenleigh shortly before 9pm on Saturday.
Police reported said the man suffered a non-life threatening machete wound to his arm.
