EMMAUS College students from prep to year 12 celebrated one of the biggest days of the school calendar on April 20.
Emmaus Day celebrations united the students together to participate in a variety of art, sport, cultural and entertaining activities.
Students learned about the didgeridoo, how to throw boomerangs correctly and even practiced a mock cow milking workshop.
There was also an opportunity to dunk Primary School teacher Brooke Tayles in the water.
Emmaus College communications officer Toni Abberton said it was a special time of the year.
“Emmaus Day is a day of celebration. One of the biggest days of the year,” she said.
“It is all free for the kids and it is to celebrate everything about Emmaus.”
Assistant principal Stephen Chipps said the fun activities brought everyone together.
“It is a really special part of our calendar year and celebrating who we are and our story,” he said.
“It is about coming together as a community and bringing that sense of belonging to another level.”
Year 11 students volunteered to assist on the day to prepare for leadership responsibilities when they reach year 12.
