THE Chicks Conquering Cancer op shop open day will be held next Saturday, April 28.
Volunteers have worked tirelessly to bring the op shop to life after the organisation secured a site at 635 Cusack Lane Jimboomba earlier in April.
Councillor Trevina Schwarz will launch the open day from 10am which will feature a jumping castle, sausage sizzle, raffles and prize giveaways.
Chicks Conquering Cancer president Kathy Smith praised the Jimboomba community for their generous spirit and valuable donations.
“The generosity has been overwhelming, we have so many beautiful and unique items,” she said.
“We are rapt, people are starting to know we are here and we have signed up two more clients in the last week.”
The op shop provides an information hub on cancer related issues and will also host craft and tai chi activities.
There is a consultation room available for cancer patients.
People are still welcome to donate clothing and toy items but should avoid donating large bulky items such as furniture or electrical goods.
