PROPERTIES in Jimboomba and Redlands have been raided as part of an investigation into dog fighting in Queensland.
Police and RSPCA inspectors raided four Queensland properties – two in Logan and one each in Redlands and Richmond, in northwest Queensland.
Dogs – some just puppies – and equipment that included treadmills and breaking sticks were seized.
Some 56 dogs are in the care of the RSPCA.
The raids were carried out after a task force investigation into dog fighting.
In a press release issued tonight, the RSPCA described the raids the first breakthrough of their type in a decade.
It thanked the public for its support.
